Okay, back to work, girl
Yep I admit it, I've been goofing around a little over this past week. But I did do a little bit of work on Chapter 20 today. I actually got a few ideas from a children's historical book written about the canal, entitled, Silver Ribbon Skinny. It was written by Marilyn Seguin and tells a ficationalized account of Pearl Nye, a famous canal folk singer and writer who was born on a canal boat and worked on the boats until the canal's closing. It's really good so far, for a kid's book :-). I read a passage about Lonesome Lock and how many people, even then considered the lock to be haunted. I knew it's considered to be haunted now from my browsing around local ghost sites but I didn't know the legends run back that far. So I added a bit about how Bethany was unervered a bit as she went past the lock on her way to Olivia's boarding house.
Right now, I have quite a few chapters posted with my crit group so I'm just waiting for feedback before I go any further. I hope I get some good feedback. I know I will. The ladies in my crit group are awesome :-)
