Fourteen Pages shy, my Chick Chat, & Season's Greetings.
Current mood =
So close but no cigar. I was 14 pages shy of reasching the goal for both Sylvia's Word Challenge & NANOWRIMO I no it's no excuse but when you come home after running around chaning sings at work all night, trust me, you do get tired. The good news is that I'm only 14 pages away from finishing the first draft of The Fireland's Bride so I am much closer than I was when we started the challenge. I can easily finish it off before the holidays now :-).
Oh & here's my Chick Chat, didn't get to post it last night becuase of how tired I was :-).
Questions For Nov. 30th
All About Romance...
1. Do you hear 'I Love You' enough?: Sure do
2. Have you ever wished your man was more romantic?: Sometimes but then he does little surprises that catch me off-guard like that wonderful 10 yr. anniversary we spent downtown.
3. When was the last time you had a make-out session?: Anytime PJ's in bed, though it usually ends up leading to more than a "make-out" seession :-).
4. Does hubby leave little surprises for you?: If I'm in a rotten mood, he'll usually pick up my spirits by buying me a box of chocolates or some cookies :-)
5. Do you have a regular 'Date Night'?: Yeah, anytime I'm off from Penney's & we can actaully afford to go out.
Oh & I got my contract sent out to Gina today :-). Thanks to Jen & Ellen who left such nice congrats notes in my blog as well as my high school bud Jenni, & my research pal, Stephanie who e-mailed me about it. Sometime toward the end of the month, I'll be setting up a super fun, super secret (well not too secret because Gina knows about it & generously offered to donate a year's subscription to A Hint of Sedcution as first prize!) Stay tuned for details. I'll also be setting up a newsletter about the same time. Way back in Feb. I had an idea to do a "On this day in Ohio history" thing on my site. I didn't have time to collect all enough dates for all the days of the year so I'll be posting little snippets of Ohio history in my newsletter when I start it up. Ohio has a rich and wonderful history. Though some it is a little bloody, all of it is very interesting. Why did you know that so many inventors were born in Ohio that we house the The inventors hall of fame in Akron? Not to mention that we are also home to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame (Cleveland Rocks!) as well as the football hall of fame. These are just a few of the fun facts I'll be posting in my newsletter. For those of you who aren't really that interested in Ohio history but do want updates on my work as well excerpts, I'll be posting those there as well :-).
On a final note, Season's Greetings one and all. My Christmas Cottage is once again open (you can see it by clicking on the season's greetings) so feel free to drop in for some hot coccoa, gingerbread cookies, and all kinds of fun holiday games. Hope everyone has a safe and fun holiday season :-).
