Thinking about my WIP while PJ watches A Looney Tunes Movie :-)

PJ's enthralled with Bugs & Daffy now :-).
I get a kick out of seeing him watch the same stuff that I did as a kid. Took him, Josh, & Pam to the beach today & we all had fun. Had some Honey Hut Ice Cream (my favorite :-).) & then we all headed over to a playground down the road from the beach. It's nice to see that PJ's making new friends and I'm certain he'll make more when he starts preschool.

Pondering the Fireland's Bride now. I could start the next chapter with a letter from Lach to his parents back home. But I still want to visit Vermilion. Next week will be crazy too 'cause the only day I have off is our anniversary. I think it's abotu an hour drive so I could do it & still make it back in time to make dinner if I went early enough. We'll see how it goes and how the weather goes. Don't want to go walking around in the rain.

I've also been helping out a friend of mine with her website. I'm happy with the way it came out & she is too :-). Let me know what you think. I've also ound some very cool writers blogs that I want to add to my site. Well gotta run & get PJ in his jammies. Have a good night.

Toying around with Mojave Rose today

I started playing around with the idea of turning Mojave Rose and came up with some back-up characters today. One of the gals from the passionate pen group put the idea into my head that I could turn it into a full length novel. I like the idea. I'm not sure if I'll ever do it but I do like it. I did no plotting or character development on the short story but both Rosario and Jake ended up being two wonderful, very strong and self-sufficient characters. Funny how your mind can come up with these kind of things with no plotting :-). It might be fun not to plot the whole thing out for once and just see where the story takes me. But I have three other projects in my brain right now, plus the short story is still with Arabella. So we'll see what happens. I wrote all my info down today just in case I do ever get around to working it into a full-length story.

Oh and today's my DH's birthday :-). Happy 34th sweetie. Gave him his presents this morning (The Bourne Identity on DVD and the new Van Halen 2 CD greatest hit set.) He liked them both & took the cd to listen to on his way to work today. I usually do pretty good with gifts for him but after almost ten years of marriage, I know his likes and dislikes. The big ten for us is next Friday. I still can't believe we've been married for ten years. Where did the time go? Yep we've had our differences over the years and there's been times when we've rubbed each other the worng way but we've stuck it through. He knows me better than I know myself and I couldn't imagine spending my life with another guy. Besides, I have him trained too well now and wouldn't want to train another guy :-). He's made plans for anniversary but won't say what they are. I think I have one idea of the big surprise but I'm not sure yet. I'll post after the big day & tell you all about our plans. Well I'm gonna grab some lunch & then get back to work.

Not much new to report on the writing front

Still working on The Fireland's Bride & up to 60 pages now. I've been procrastinating a bit until I get a chance to visit Vermilion. I don't want my little family to land there until I get the lay of the land myself :-).

Oh my gosh, Awe-Struck has requested a full. I can't believe it, my first request for a full. Even though if they do like it & I do sign a contract with them, the book won't come out until 2006, I'm so excited, happy & nervous. Wish me luck :-)
