Queried Awe-Struck today.

Awe struck is currently looking for historical Romances for publication in 2006. And since it looks like Harlequin Historicals will now be sold in the U.S. by subscription only, I figured what the heck ;-). They are only interested in electronic rights so I can still look for a print publsiher, they've been around for awhile, they offer good royalties, and are a member of EPIC,a group just for e-publishers and authors. Cornelia from my crit group writes for them so I used her name in my query letter. I figured I didn't have anything to lose by trying so that's exactly what I did :-)

Yippee, The Locktender's Daughter is completely finished :-)!!!

Current Mood=
I just finished the last of my rewriting today. Yippee, strike up the band, let's throw a party. Does anyone have any champagne :-)? Now I have some minor work for my short story & the first draft of The Fireland's Bride to work on. It should keep me busy while I'm playing the waiting game with publishers :-).

Anyway, it's a little late but here's my

1. Have You Ever Been Arressted?: Nope
2. How many Tattoo's do You Have?:None but would love to get a daisy someplace on my body someday.
3. What's the Most Bad-Ass thing You've Ever Done?: Stood up & swore at another employee at Wal-Mart when she was giving me a hard time. Luckily, she wasn't a supervisor, just a bitchy little lazy girl.
4. How Many Times Have You Been Pulled Over?: just once for a fender bender
5. Have You Ever Lied To Get Your Way?: To my parents when I was a teenager

Okay so I'm not that much of a bad girl, well I am in certain circumstances but that's my little secret & I'm not about to post the details here :-). LOL :-)

The Firelands Bride is started

Current mood=

TLD is just about done with its final edits. I'm just waiting for someone to take a look at the revised version of Mojave Rose. So I figured what the heck, why not start on the next project. It's actually coming along nicely. I'm up to 24 pages now in the first draft. I just married Lach and Sarah off. Now I've gotta deal with the wedding night. This will be a bit different because I've never written about a male virgin before. I want to do the scene from his pov but I don't know anything about how a guy feels on his frist time. I know this is totally unorthodox for a romance writer but I just couldn't see any way around it. Lach was raised by a very protective mother and father. It wouldn't make sense for him not to be a virgin. I'm gonna have to think about this. Maybe I'll just write it from Sarah's POV :-).
