Mojave Rose is revised :-).

current mood=

Did my first revision on Mojave Rose today :-). I uploaded it to my critique group & I'll wait and see if I get another few critiques. I don't think I have much more work to do on the story at all. Then it'll be ready to go off to Arabella Magazine.

The Locktender's Daughter is comming along nicely too. I'm up to the nineteenth chapter with my revisions. Sent my query out to Harelquin on Thursday. I hope they love my story. If not, I know I have other options :-).

Okay query letter & synopsis are ready to roll

Current mood=

Yikes I can't believe I'm almost ready to query Harlequin :-). A part of me has the whole self doubt thing going (What if they don't want to see the full? What if no one wants to buy my story? Will all my work on it have been in vain) but there's a stronger voice saying, "Go for it, Dana. Just about everyone who's read it has loved it & you love it too. Go for your dreams & don't look back." I'm listening to the stronger voice and blowing rasberries at the negative voice :-p.

Okay here's my

Questions For July 6th
'When I Was A Kid'...

1. Fav. Book as a Child?: The Courdory Bear books. I can't remember who wrote them but I loved the books in the series
2. Fav. Tv Show as a Child?: Sesame Street (which I still watch with my son today!)
3. Fav. Movie as a Child?: Benji
4. Fav. Food as a Child?: Strawberry Shortcake
5. Fav. Outfit as a Child?: My red velvet Christmas dress.

That was a fun one. I have all kinds of great memories from my childhood & hope I'm making lots of new ones for my little guy :-)

Mojave Rose is complete :-)

Current Mood=

Yippee!! One more project is done :-). Finished the first draft yesterday & uploaded it to my critique group. I did no plotting on my short story whatsoever and it was probably the most fun I've had writing in awhile. I love my herione, Rosario & I love my hero, Jake. It was nice just to deal with a budding romance & not have to worry about subplots or villians. I think I did a pretty good job with the conflict too but that will remain to be seen :-). Hope everyone has a Happy 4th July today.
