Sunny day so I got outa the house :-)

There's a really nice nature center at Hunigton Reservation in Bay Village. It was sunny here today & in the mid 40's so after suffering from cabin fever for so long due to the cold weather, I took PJ there today. He had fun looking at the animals. I think he liked th bunnies the best. Got a bit mad when his shoes got muddy though. So I took him back to the car, wiped the mud off his shoes & after that, he was fine. I even bought him a little pink rubber frog & took him to a playground in Bay Village when we were done. I had to bribe him with a sucker to get him to leave though.
I'm looking forward to the summer with him. When we can go to the beach again, enjoy yummy honey hut ice cream, and hit the local playgrounds. Plus, I want to start researching the Fireland's Bride which means I'll have to make a trip to Vermillion & Huron with him. There's a nautical museum in Vermillion that I want to check out & I think the Firelands Historical Society's Museum is in Huron. There are a few beaches I want to check out too. I love the fact that I can visit my locales. I have several other ideas for Ohio Historicals but I also have some westerns in mind. I love the state I live in but I don't want to be seen just as Ohio Romance Writer. But I do hope my stories will eventually get other writers thinking about setting their fiction in Ohio. Maybe if I become a bestselling author, they will :-)

Getting close to the end of my editing now

I just finished doing a little bit of work on my "black moment" where Tyler is still convinced Bethany is in love with her deceased fiance & was only using Tyler to get to his Uncle Josiah. Bethany walks out without admitting her true feelings because revenge is the most important thing to her at that moment. I only have about 6 more chapters to revise, post, and re-revise and then I'll be ready to get this one out. I decided not to try the agent thing this time. This one I'm doing on my own. I already have a list of publishers I want to submitt to. I think my query letter & synopsis can use a bit of work before I start submitting. But I'm not worried because my goal is to have everything ready to roll by August & I'm already ahead of schedule :-)
